Orquesta Sinfónica de Falcón Visits J.R.P.


Tocuyo de la Costa November 20th.

Quinteto de Cuerdas and Quinteto de Metales of Orquesta Sinfónica de Falcón gave a magnificent concert to the students and teachers of our institution . They played both academic and popular music, this event being part of a program called La Orquesta Va a la Escuela (The Orchestra Goes to School) which is sponsored by CONAC and IPASME. Penélope Oviol, Gerardo Reyes and Kristian Molina, who are members of this orchestra, explain the purpose of this program.

J.R.P. Celebrates Students’ Day.


On Tuesday November 21, J.R.P. celebrated Students’ Day with a great event which included games, dances and a lot of fun. Students and teachers also organized a bingo to raise money to help 4th Year student Arismary Quevedo.

Where are They Now? José Piña


José Piña is considered one of the best J.R.P. teachers ever. He is from Cabudare, Lara State and graduated from UPEL Barquisimeto as a chemistry teacher.

He taught at Unidad Educativa “Jacinto Regino Pachano” from 1987 to 1993 and was very popular among students, who called him “Piñita”.

Right now he has an administrative position at Zona Educativa del Estado Falcón in Coro. We say hello to him from here and wish him all the best.

Student Arismary Quevedo thanks J.R.P.


Arismary Quevedo says “thank you very much” to the students and teachers who participated in an bingo which was aimed to raise money to help her with her medical treatment. She especially thanks teachers Gloria Camacho and Luis Gómez who were the ones who organized this activity.

45 J.R.P. Students Admitted at Universities


45 students out of 96 were admitted at different Universities and other Higher Education Institutes such as Universidad de Carabobo, Universidad Experimental Francisco de Miranda, Instituto Universitario de Tecnología Alonso Gamero, Universidad Simón Rodríguez and many others. Four of those students were eligible for OPSU scholarships.

Miniver Lorenzo Jordán New Spanish Teacher

Miniver Lorenzo Jordán is from Coro and graduated from Universidad Experimental Francisco de Miranda in 2006 . She is currently teaching Spanish and Literature in 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 4th year at J.R.P. She has worked at UNEFM as an institutional advisor.

Former JRP Principal Transferred to Carabobo.


In October former JRP Principal Yvonne Quiroz was transferred to a public school located in Carabobo State. Teacher Quiroz graduated from Carabobo University in 1995 and in the same year she began working at JRP as a teacher under a contract . In 1997 she won a competition for steady position with the Ministry of Education.

In May 2002 she became the 7th Principal of JRP after Teacher Luis Guanipa retired. She quit her position as Principal in July 2005 in order to continue working as a full social sciences teacher. She got a Master’s Degree in Education Management in 2003.

We thank Teacher Yvonne Quiroz for her love, dedication and passion for our school and congratulate her on her achievements.
